Bagatelle

  • Posted on January 15, 2010 at 4:21 pm

A couple of weeks ago, I saw this cool Bagatelle cognac leather jacket on sale in a Neiman Marcus catalog. It’s a simple classic design that you may wear with a thin fitted hoodie underneath for a layered look or for extra warmth. Great when worn with a pair of jeans or black stylish chinos, like Ecru’s Russell chinos. It’s probably lined. As an aside, I must mention that I dislike when companies don’t have “inside/detail views” where appropriate e.g. handbags, coats, etc. The consumer has a right to know what they are spending their money on, especially when it’s an online purchase.

Rotary Watches

I just discovered Rotary Watches a few days ago. Their diamond collection is really pretty and they are somewhat reasonably priced for the amount of detailing. I like their leather strap diamond collection the most because they are casual accessories with just the right amount of bling (a little surprise… a little extra something to put a smile on your face as you tell time).

Tea Forte

Right now I’m sipping Tea Forte‘s Orchid Vanilla as I’m typing, questioning what took me so long to try this brand? It has a very gentle flavor, calming and relaxing with a hint of sweetness. To me, that’s perfect. I treated myself to their Dolce Vita Ribbon Box sampler set from a Ruelala sale (where today’s pyramidal sachet comes from). Can’t wait to try the other flavors! Ode to living the Tracy Porter life. There’s no way to properly convey how delicious this cup of tea is so you must try it and judge for yourself…

Sweet Bella

Stationery and accessories that are sure to make a gift recipient very happy. Love the crackle metallic finish. The metallic purple zip pouch was already sold out by the time I saw it (no surprise) :( . Recently I’ve adored bird images and patterns; could be a result of a life evolution over these past few years? I used to keep a journal but was never dedicated enough to write on a daily basis (not that it’s a must to write daily). I believe it’s a good idea for me to write daily to remain disciplined. Do you keep a journal? What do you include in yours e.g. poems, quotes, etc.? I started to keep a small journal (gift from my brother-in-law off my 2009 Christmas wishlist) of design ideas. I’d love to keep a separate journal filled with favorite quotes, brainstorms for my peotry, and nonsensical doodles.

Fairisle Sweater Clocks, Living the Anthropologie Life

  • Posted on January 11, 2010 at 3:23 pm

Saw these on sale a few days ago on Anthro’s website. They’re really cute. Who would have thought of creating a sweater clock? Obviously a very creative Andrea Williamson did. If you have extra cash to burn and your bare walls are beginning to get to you, keep these in mind.

I’ll take all of them please!

A Touch of Gothic

  • Posted on January 11, 2010 at 1:19 pm

King Baby Studio is a little gothic to me. Their aesthetic may not be for everyone but I do like it a lot… So I have my Anthro side and my gothic side (classical Gemini complex). I can’t say I have the pleasure of owning anything from KBS but maybe someday? I also think their lighters are so cool! I can see Pyro (X-Men) playing with one of their lighters and driving everyone nuts.

Designer Sunglasses: Christian Dior & Gucci

Sorry I’m doing so much back-peddling. Still trying to catch up with all my fashion posts. Busy year, crazy year which just past! If I didn’t get to wish you a Happy New Year before, I’m doing so now; hoping that 2010 brings all good things delightful and magical… Normally, I’m a woman of very little words except when I blog. Below are a mix of pretty Christian Dior and Guccis. I have such a soft spot for over-sized glasses regardless that some people prefer regular-sized frames on me.

Doo Ri

  • Posted on January 11, 2010 at 12:45 pm

Never a dull design from Doo Ri. Something very geometrical and modern about their designs. Would be interested to see a collaboration between Doo Ri and Adidas, much like Stella McCartney’s. For certain, together they can pull off a great collection.

I’m crazy about shearling. The design is a little odd but I’m willing to think out of the box and appreciate it for its originality. Only problem is that it allows too much cold air in :-( ; even uniqueness can’t rescue that. Gorgeous blue of the cashmere coat; would love to own that luscious petal neck knit! He’s another polished designer.
