The Vintage Chic Bride

I meant to post on this topic last year around this time (my little sister’s wedding).  Sorry, somehow I got side-tracked once again.  My husband’s cousin’s wedding is fast approaching so I’m dedicating this post to her in hopes that she will have a very happy life with her fiance.

As for my wedding gown and accessories, I had made very practical choices years ago which overall worked out fine [allowed me to afford a honeymoon ;) ].  Though, honestly, I was like any other girl who peripherally snuck a longing gaze or two at those Vera Wangs and Monique Lhuilliers.  In retrospect, I wish I had thought of wearing one of those darling birdcage veils down the aisle instead of a traditional veil, but then again, it really would have clashed with my gown.  Maybe for my renewal of vows?  A girl can hope =).

Cinderella’s Shoe

I just saw this really cute vintage shoe soap while browsing for something else. This shoe soap is made by Gianna Rose Atelier. I included her online store as a Fave Link already (see right panel of my blog). My current favorite are her Bonjour Bonne Nuit Pillow Soaps scented in fresh linen. I also use them to scent my armoir drawers and trim/ribbon containers. Her egg-shaped soaps are also very cute =). I almost forgot- she’s created the nicest scented drawer liners…

Bird Pincushion Florenza

My newest bird Florenza… I missed out on it months ago and held onto the hope that someone somewhere still had one to auction off. I searched for it nearly daily too! I love the blushy pink of the pincushion and that it has “springy” legs. It’s on my desk right now keeping me company as I’m typing away. It’s too cute =)… Okay, this may be categorized as a small guilty pleasure =P.
