For any of you who own anything from Cleobella’s famous Mexicana collection, I’d love to hear from you… It looks like a lovely product to own and I can imagine a hardworking artisan lovingly pouring hours into its creation… Please let me know your thoughts below. XOXO

This time all that glitters is gold! With it’s many great features of generous depth to fit more on-the-go necessities, leather-free, overall practicality (and even comes with velcro silencing patches), and attractive styling (eye catchingly glittery non-glitter good whether for day or night), I knew I had to own a bag from Manhattan Portage’s newly introduced Midnight Collection. I first saw the collection at the Manhattan Portage/Token flagship store located on Elizabeth Street in New York, but regretfully realized later on I should have purchased something from the Midnight Collection that very visit. You know how it goes when something you like lingers on your mind ;)… Well, maybe waiting became a virtue because months later, the Midnight Collection was further expanded with such awesome designs such as the mini messenger pictured below. Had to snag that baby up!

My recent solution to messy contents sloshing around in my handbag are the helpful and lovely double zip pocket Walker Bags. I love them in metallic mesh for their elegance, though they do come in a range of other playful colors and even in single pockets.

Soft, durable, least shedding bristles, overall sleek design, grabs just the right amount of pigment whether natural or synthetic fiber [though this depends on you too ;)], fairly affordable (great investment), and easy to clean… these are all the things I love about my Sigma Beauty brushes :). I have two of their sets (use them daily for nearly 4 years), their full-size and travel-size; it’s ideal to have two different sizes. My only small qualm is with their eyeshadow brush (Pencil E30) which I use for the outer corners of my eyes; personally I would benefit from a smaller, stiffer brush since I don’t have the deepest creases. Most people don’t have to be concerned with this… To be fair, I may not be using the best brush for what I’m trying to achieve so I’ll have to look into another Sigma brush. Honestly they are the best brushes I’ve ever owned and trust me, I’ve owned a good number of them from many well-known brands.

I’m in love!.. again ;)… I saw a gorgeous Faliero Sarti scarf on 11th. Moon’s website because of You Tube’s Chrissstttiiine. It’s a peachy pink, delicate half cotton half silk with floral border best worn as a shrug scarf in my opinion, though there are many other wonderful ways to fashion a scarf. I have a soft spot for the Fiorenza since it reminds me of my love for gardening :).
P.S. 11th. Moon’s customer service is impeccable!

I haven’t written on this topic for quite a while. Hair accessories… love them!.. and something that you can never have too much of ;). Every once in a while I’ll find myself wandering the beauty aisles and find something blog-worthy, like Sally Beauty Supply DCNL’s both pretty and handy-to-have hair accessories. I’m normally a tee and jeans girl so when I feel like dolling up with just a little effort, I like to go for a beaded ponytailer, a rhinestone claw clip, or jeweled bobbies and barettes. I’ve also included other favorite staples below…

Over the years I’ve learned that merely a change of curtains or an update to bedding (linens, comforter, duvet) can bring bigger welcome changes to one’s room than one would imagine. If you are on a tight budget or find it inconvenient to have your bedroom painted, give these two simple things a try first. My favorite sateen or Egyptian cotton bedding is from Bed Bath & Beyond. Even my husband recognizes the importance of investing in good, comfortable sheets ;) ; afterall, a big chunk of one’s life is spent sleeping so might-as-well happily hunker down. I’m also quite smitten with Target’s Simply Shabby Chic Cozy Blanket, Threshold Medallion Reversible Quilt (love those reversible quilts!), Simply Shabby Chic Bramble Duvet Set or the like, Xhilaration Comforter Sets, to name a few. I recently purchased the SS Candy Floral linen set and can’t wait to dress the bed with it!

Pop Hairuwear and Ken Paves’ Hairdo make some of my most favorite hair extensions. I never would have imagined how much fun styling my hair could be =). I even love my Crayola Color Hair Flair Clip-Ons in funky bright colors like neon pink and sky blue from Rite Aid! Also check out Rickys NYC.

My husband found these bookends online for me. They are a real gem of a find too because I was using regular metal bookends (which can be purchased at Staples, etc.) for my shelving. Honestly they didn’t work out too well due to the large number of binders I keep and were also less appealing next to my white wall tracks). My shelving system was purchased online from an out-of-state specialty store (Spokane Hardware Supply/Hardware Hut) and closely resembles The Container Store’s Elfa system. Sorry, I don’t know if my shelving brackets are compatible with TCS’s track standards. My shelves (made of pine and poplar) were purchased from local lumber yards and Home Depot.
Supplies Ordered for My Office Improvement Project:
Knape and Vogt 10-1/2″ (267mm) Decorative Double Slot Bookend Bracket – Pair (White)
Knape and Vogt 10-1/2″ (267mm) Heavy-Duty Decorative Double Slot Shelf Bracket – EACH (White)
Knape and Vogt 48″ (1219mm) Heavy-Duty Decorative Shelf Standard – EACH (White)
Pine & Poplar wood (weight considerations)
(Just in case you are in a similar space predicament as me and need a good solution).
