Pop Hairuwear and Ken Paves’ Hairdo make some of my most favorite hair extensions. I never would have imagined how much fun styling my hair could be =). I even love my Crayola Color Hair Flair Clip-Ons in funky bright colors like neon pink and sky blue from Rite Aid! Also check out Rickys NYC.

My husband found these bookends online for me. They are a real gem of a find too because I was using regular metal bookends (which can be purchased at Staples, etc.) for my shelving. Honestly they didn’t work out too well due to the large number of binders I keep and were also less appealing next to my white wall tracks). My shelving system was purchased online from an out-of-state specialty store (Spokane Hardware Supply/Hardware Hut) and closely resembles The Container Store’s Elfa system. Sorry, I don’t know if my shelving brackets are compatible with TCS’s track standards. My shelves (made of pine and poplar) were purchased from local lumber yards and Home Depot.
Supplies Ordered for My Office Improvement Project:
For Christmas I received a cute and useful pair of black earmuffs + headphones from my husband’s family. I really like them =)! Not only do they keep my ears warm, they also allow me to listen to my favorite songs on-the-go. The description states they are compatible with any standard 3.5mm jack socket. They also feature volume control, if anyone was wondering ;). I was this close (thumb and index finger barely touching) to purchasing a similar pair from the holiday Juicy Couture sale, so I’m glad I prevented myself from giving in.
Salpy brand makes the prettiest shoes; however, it’s VERY expensive at regular price. I waited too long and missed the Salpy sale at Simply Soles =(. The Larita style reminds me of higher fashion clogs and mules, but are described as slides or slip-on heels. At one point Simply Soles stocked, navy, black, and pewter snakeskin. Though I’m unsure about the overall comfort factor since I don’t own a pair, they are nonetheless aesthetically gorgeous!
While walking around The Container Store one Saturday, I lifted my gaze and spotted the perfect belt organizer to suit my needs. It was the Round A Belt organizer by Evriholder Products LLC. I wish I had known about this holder years ago! I normally wear belts to adjust my jeans but over the years have acquired several thin dressy ones used to cinch dresses or re-adjust dress pant waists (many times they are included with the clothing purchase). This organizer can hold quite a bit but I wouldn’t suggest over-loading it. Other great features are, it’s a very convenient sorter and has kept my closet looking neat, with the ease of finding a good match for my overall outfit. I’ve also seen crafters use the Round A Belt to organize their ribbons and trims.
Many years ago when I first began my graduate program, I carried a very handsome and dependable Perlina black leather backpack. I remembered one snowy night, quite like today, I decided to walk home rather than to wait for the bus (which was uncharacteristically delayed). The backpack had survived my walk through the harsh weather much to my surprise and delight. As soon as I arrived home, I toweled off the snow to preserve the leather. Pictured below is one which looks identical to mine. One feature I loved most about it besides its buttery soft leather was its very convenient side-zip.
These days trying to find a nice leather backpack feels like trying to search for a needle in a haystack. Only every once in a while will you find a really special one (sorry if it sounds overly critical of me). Wish I didn’t allow Rebecca Minkoff’s to get away a couple years back =(. Just recently I spotted one by OrYany and can see for myself why it has received such rave reviews!
My three favorite personal size planners other than those by Filofax are from Anya Hindmarch, Kate Spade, and Louis Vuitton. They are a bit pricy (some more so than others) but if you are a serious planner-keeper or “Filofaxer” looking for something a little different, you can consider these a worthwhile investment that you’re bound to find very nice to have around.

I’m not sure how I became fascinated with shearling aviator hats and aviator jackets? Was it my passion for studying about American history, specifically World War I and World War II (though the Civil War was equally as intriguing) or the costumes which occasionally appeared on old comedy shows such as Abbott & Costello (my favorite growing up)? One thing’s for sure, I was madly in love with the Amelia Earhart aviator jacket which appeared in a UGGs catalog shortly after the brand gained mass popularity. I remembered pining over it for days; how expensive and unattainable it seemed. When I had finally saved up for it, I had waited too long and it was totally sold out =(. Winter, as usual, has peaked my interest in this particular style of outerwear and accessories once more…
P.S. Juicy Couture has created a chic faux twist (in dragonfruit) to our beloved Mad Bomber styled hats…

I hope all of you have been enjoying your holidays. They’re not over yet… Though this is the Christmas season, I’d like to backtrack and post on some cute little Hallow’s Eve items I bought previously in the beginning of October created by Midwest*CBK. An inexpensive way to spruce up a room during the holidays, be it Christmas or Halloween, are with the use of these darling nightlights. One of my nephew’s stocking stuffers was an adorable snowman nightlight (showcasing several colors, one melting into the other) I picked up at CVS for just $4.99! I love CBK’s mosaic apple and pumpkin (holds a flicker bulb) lights! Christmas and Halloween are not just for kids ;)…
