Desparately Seeking… Baylis & Harding

I instantly fell in love with Baylis & Harding‘s Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit Hand Wash and Lotion during our stay in The Churchill Arms, Cotswolds England.  Upon our return to London, my husband patiently endured a long yet fruitless search for this brand.  None to be found at Boots, Superdrugs, John Lewis, Debenhams (except Moonlight Lavender Gift Box).  Do you know this feeling of wanting something badly and being nothing but shut out from it?  And desiring it even more because of this?  That’s me for you.  Via Facebook, I was told that USA stores, T.J. Maxx and Walgreens did stock Baylis & Harding. does carry a few of the bath foams.  Today I visited T.J. Maxx in Norwalk, Connecticut and another one near home.  Both stores carried Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit, French Lavender, Vintage Rose, Wild Bluebell & Hyacinth, and Lemon Blossom.  Before entering T.J. Maxx, my husband sheepishly asked, “is that the stuff we trekked all over London for?”  Uhm, yeah =)… and it happened to be practically in our backyard all this time hehe.  The search continues for the minis and travel sizes though…

P.S. I just received an email from Baylis & Harding which includes other U.S. and Canadian stores who carry the brand:

On Holiday with Vera Bradley’s Grand Traveler & Weekender

Recently my husband and I traveled to England and Wales.  I brought my Vera Bradley Viva La Vera Weekender as my carry-on and really loved this bag for its generous pockets and ease of carrying.  It kept all my belongings well organized and nicely accessible;  with the added plus of being made with cheery patterned, soft but thick quilted fabric reminding me of the comforts of home (think quilted-comforter).  I’m also very interested in the Grand Traveler in Folkloric for a short domestic getaway.  Other great prints include the Watercolors, Happy Snails, Mocha Rouge, Sittin in a Tree, Deco Daisy, and retired Peacock (which can still be found on e.g. eBay and perhaps other places if you looked hard enough).
