{"id":4660,"date":"2010-06-08T21:17:50","date_gmt":"2010-06-09T05:17:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/?p=4660"},"modified":"2010-06-23T13:24:29","modified_gmt":"2010-06-23T21:24:29","slug":"lush-review-nostalgic-bath-cocktail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/?p=4660","title":{"rendered":"Lush Review: Nostalgic Bath Cocktail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes I feel like Des Esseintes, Joris-Karl Huymans&#8217; main character in <em>Against Nature, <\/em>striving to create a small world of Lush decadence whenever I can&#8230;\u00a0 Tonight&#8217;s bath cocktail was white and frothy with a delicate fresh scent, reminding me of 7UP and Sprite soda pops which I would gladly consume during those boring adult dinner parties my parents and grandparents would drag me to.\u00a0 Therefore, the &#8220;nostalgic&#8221; part of this post&#8217;s title.\u00a0 Resting my face gently against Amandopondo&#8217;s busily popping bubbles, the world began to disappear and for once, my mind was a terrific blank.\u00a0 Now it&#8217;s your turn to replicate this lovely bath and retreat into your own microcosm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 Sakura Bath Bomb:<\/strong> Sweet floral; very gently scented with quick fizz action.\u00a0 Initially this bath ballistic fizzed a very light pink.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure if I necessarily sense cherry blossoms, but it sounds good to me =)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lemon oil<\/li>\n<li>Mimosa absolute<\/li>\n<li>Orange absolute<\/li>\n<li>Jasmine absolute<\/li>\n<li>Gardenia extract<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-sakura-bath-bomb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4663\" title=\"lush sakura bath bomb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-sakura-bath-bomb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 Amandopondo Bubble Bar:<\/strong> Mild floral scent.\u00a0 I used an organza sachet to get the most out of my bubble bar by running it under the water spout.\u00a0 Using a sachet or nylon stocking also does the double duty of collecting unwanted particles from landing into your drain.\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t used this idea for bath bombs such as Street Party (or anything that contains e.g. chunky glitter but it may be worth a try).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rose bud<\/li>\n<li>Lemon oil<\/li>\n<li>Orange oil<\/li>\n<li>Rose absolute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-amandopondo-bubble-bar.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-4662\" title=\"lush amandopondo bubble bar\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-amandopondo-bubble-bar-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>1\/2 Floating Island Bath Melt:<\/strong> Mildly sweet floral  scent.\u00a0 I crumbled this into the bath water.\u00a0 It&#8217;s normally a slow froth on its own.\u00a0 A nice combination with all the other elements of this bath.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Almond oil<\/li>\n<li>Sandlewood oil<\/li>\n<li>Lemon oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-floating-island-bath-melt.jpg\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-floating-island-bath-melt1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-4762\" title=\"lush floating island bath melt\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nycupcake.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lush-floating-island-bath-melt1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sandstone Soap:<\/strong> As much as I love this lemony scent (similar to the scent of moist towelette packets which some restaurants may provide at the end of your meal), I probably will not use it with another bath.\u00a0 This soap leaves sediment deposits and makes soaking uncomfortable.\u00a0 The sediments are similar to harder types of beach sand (definitely not Pink Palace beach sand).\u00a0 This soap is best used during a shower and is an excellent exfoliant.
