Artwork I’ve created over the years.  I began drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil, all just fun doodles in trying to emulate my mother’s drawings.  My hobby became more serious in 1991, when my English teacher distributed our school’s art and literary magazine entitled Olla Podrida one day towards the end of class.  I especially loved the fashion croquis I saw on a couple of the pages and became inspired.  I learned watercolor painting several years ago from Sumiyo Toribe and Diana Gessler during the Summer 2016 Artful Gathering Retreat and acrylic painting from Flora Bowley during her Summer 2014 Bloom True Boot Camp.  I also owe a lot to my friend, Dr. Karen Faccenda whose Discovering Your Inner Artist Workshop helped me to re-connect to myself and my art after too long of a hiatus from making art due to school and work obligations.  There’s also the jovial Roy Lerner who taught me about 3D art in June 2019 and the lovely Theresa Bates who taught me mixed media art in Fall 2019.  I was fortunate enough to learn how to work with pastels from Rae Smith, a master pastelist during her 2019 workshop at King Street Studio.  I continue to draw inspiration from the works of Francois Boucher, Sue Dawe, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Maurice Brazil Prendergast.  I am also a certified Level 1 Soul Artist thanks to Soul Art Studio by Laura Hollick.
