After years of on and off again failed attempts at knitting since my late teens, I am now an avid knitter and crochet enthusiast as of November 7, 2023. One night it just magically took off and I’ve been knitting and crocheting almost daily ever since. I hope to gain a lot more knitting skills, complete at least 10 fiber arts projects per year, specialize in granny squares, learn how to spin yarn, become accomplished at tatting and embroidery. It pays to be persistent. I am descended from a talented self-taught knitter. If I had a quarter of my mother’s creative talent, I’d be in good shape.
Currently my most used size knitting needles are 7 to 15 which is tell-tale of the weights of yarns I prefer but who knows what the future will hold? My first yarn was Manos del Uruguay Rasta (super bulky) in the Party colorway. Coupled with it being a fun and quick knit is why I believe my interest in knitting began to soar.
I’m also a fan of ChiaoGoo, Clover, LYKKE, Katrinkles
