Lush Review: Happy Birthday Bath Cocktail

I admired this sweet citrus floral bath with its Fanta-like scent (the culmination of Hot Java BB and Happy Birthday BB) and its beautiful deep orange color.  This bath was started very late at night but I needed to decompress from our recent travels (to visit with family) and a few crazy moments I had to endure because of it.  Happy belated birthday gift from moi to moi.

1 Hot Java Bath Ballistic:

  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Ginger oil
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Ginger powder
  • Coriander oil
  • Ginger absolute
  • Ylang ylang oil
  • Juniperberry oil
  • Gardenia extract

1 Happy Birthday Bubble Bar:

  • Bergamot oil
  • Vanilla absolute
  • African marigold oil
  • Beeswax absolute
  • Almond oil
  • Gardenia extract
  • Plastic BD decoration

1/2 You’ve Been Mangoed Bath Melt: Very very moisturizing.  Sweet yummy creamsicle scent.

  • Almond Oil
  • Lemongrass Oil
  • Avocado Butter
  • Mango Butter
  • Lemon Oil
  • Lime Oil
  • Paprika Extract

Spice Curls Soap (Exfoliator Bar): Reminds me of a spicy scented burnt orange version of You Snap The Whip and Sandstone.  Like You Snap, it has the potential to dye light colored towels or curtains.  Like Sandstone, it’s definitely abrasive.  I was caught by surprise the first time I used it- that it was so exfoliating.  On closer examination, one can see the sandy particles of this bar.  This product was a limited edition Lush product from Fall 2009 (another reason why I was eager to use it).  Not your boring ingredients as you can see below;  that I love!  You may also use any citrus soap of your choice if you can’t find Spice Curls anymore.

  • Coconut oil
  • Paprika
  • Fresh ginger root
  • Clove bud oil
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Ground chilli
  • Ground cayenne pepper

The Soft Touch Body Butter: A bit greasy like all other massage bars but worth it since it does a great job to keep your skin moisturized and smooth.  Begins to melt at first contact of any body heat.

  • Fresh lemons
  • Fresh mango
  • Horsetail
  • Cleavers & vanilla pod infusion
  • Hydrogenated palm kernel oil
  • Wheatgerm oil
  • Soya oil
  • Avocado oil
  • Cardamom oil
  • Vanilla absolute
  • Neroli oil
  • Lavender oil
  • Paprika extract
