Here are some pictures of sidewalk mosaic art from the enchanting town of Freiburg (located on the western edge of the Black Forest). We were quite impressed that everything was so well maintained. It’s a very old town founded in 1120 and my favorite place in Germany so far. There are unique gutters which run throughout its center and were once used to provide water to fight fires and feed livestock. I highly recommend visiting Freiburg. Modern artisan shops and quaint flea markets line the town’s streets.
